Two feared killed in Imo legislator’s convoy attack

Date:

At least two persons, including a police orderly were feared killed when armed bandits attacked the convoy of the Majority leader of Imo State House of Assembly, Kingsley Ikoro last weekend.

The fatal ambush, which occurred on Sunday at Okigwe area of the State, was however downplayed by the mainstream media due to rising security threats by armed groups in the State.

Details of the fatal attack, shared by a Facebook now known as Meta, user Odinaka Augustine, was sketchy.

Reminiscing on the security crisis shortly after the Holy Eucharist at the Government House Chapel in Owerri, Governor Hope Uzodimma, vowed to fight insecurity through Community based structures and make the State uninhabitable for criminal gangs in Imo.
