Super Falcons Captain Ajibade joins PSG

Rasheedat Ajibade, Super Falcons captain has joined French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain Féminine on a two-year deal, amid huge expectations.

In an official statement, PSG announced: “Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the arrival of the Nigerian footballer, who has committed to the club until June 30, 2027.”

The player who bagged the 2025 Women’s AFCON Most Valuable Player and emerged as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, with four goals and two assists during the tournament.

Ajibade made an astonishing mark wirh 40 goals in 136 appearances over five seasons before the expiration of her contract with Spanish side Atlético Madrid.

According to AIT, Ajibade’s arrival marks a significant boost to PSG’s ambitions, as they look to reclaim the French league title and compete strongly in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Ajibade was notable at her wing across the front line—bringing pace, flair, and clinical finishing.
She now reunites with compatriot and WAFCON teammate, Jennifer Echegini, as part of a growing Nigerian presence in top European clubs.

The former FC Robo Queens standout, began her football career at Mushin in Lagos State before she signing for one of Europe’s elite clubs.

Ajibade’s story is a shining example of talent, determination, and perseverance—a powerful inspiration for young girls across Africa, according to AIT.

Also the player, is coming off a stellar international campaign, having led Nigeria to the 2025 WAFCON title.
