Scammers hack minister’s Whatsapp line

Suspected scammers have reportedly hacked the WhatsApp account belonging to Nigerian Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman.

A statement issued on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Mamman said on Friday.

The statement warned the public to avoid communicating through the affected number, which was however not made public.

The Ministry disclosed that the compromised line is being used by unauthorized individuals who compromised details in the account.

TheNewspad reports that the Nigeria Police authorities had been contacted to track and arrested the culprits.
