Safety audit of Max Aircraft begins after tyre burst

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has ordered safety audit of Max Air in response to an incident involving one of its planes at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport on Tuesday night.

Multiple reports said the audit began shortly after the incident, which occurred at 10:57 pm when Flight VM1605, en route from Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) in Lagos, landed in Kano.

The aircraft experienced a tyre burst during landing, causing panic among passengers.

However, all passengers onboard were safely evacuated with no major injuries after incident.

The aircraft may have lost its nose landing gear tyre, which contributed to the incident, according to Clearview onlineNews.
