A renewed cult clash in River State has claimed the life of Chief Ferdinand Dabiri, the traditional ruler, at Obelle Community, Emohua Local Government Area of the State.
Pandemonium reportedly broke out when suspected members of a notorious cult group invaded invaded venue of an ongoing meeting of the chiefs in the Community.
Dabiri, was allegedly shot dead and left him in the pool of his own blood, while some natives have also fled the Community during the melee last Saturday evening July 18th 2025.
TheNewspad reports that police operatives however arrived the crime scene after the incident and took remains of the victim.
A press statement from Spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Command in River State, Grace Iringe-Koko regarding the tragic incident is being awaited.
