Pro-Obaseki blogger slapped during live stream at ex-gov’s event

A yet-to-be identified man, has slapped a United Kingdom based Nigerian blogger, Albert Obazee on the cheek.

The incident caused pandemonium amongst fans of tongue-tied former Governor of Edo’ State, Godwin Obaseki in Manchester, United Kingdom on live stream in his honour last Sunday night.

It is said that the victim is one the top fans of Obaseki aiming dirge against the conventional traditional norms in Edo State, including the hoopla surrounding the Museum for West African Art — saga.

It was gathered that Obazee, had a verbal exchange with the alleged intruder who walked up him and did not miss his target in front of the event hall.

Investigation also revealed that some guests who were awaiting the arrival of Obaseki who has been at the centre of this conspiracy, chuckled, while a few others look on menacingly during the incident that negatively affected the mood of the audience.

Momentarily, Obazee whose fury got a better part of him and mute about the incident, has gone the extra mile to make up for lost time at the venue – greeted by peaceful protest by some Nigerians in UK.

But sources said embattled Obazee, who is a member of the local Organizing Committee, who is billed to see a Dentist for medical attention to avoid tooth loss, shrugged-off his assault that is making his fans to express divergent opinions.

Meanwhile, asylum-bound Obaseki whose key economic policies have been called to question in his homeland — Edo State, had been briefed about the security threat, ahead of the sudden turn of events.
