A 25-year-old man, Moh’d Musa, has allegedly stabbed a middle-aged man identified as Abubakar Abdullahi (better known as “Dan Iya”) to death in the Bayan Bata area of the Bauchi metropolis.
According to the Bauchi State Police Command, the tragedy occurred following a violent altercation between the suspect and the victim.
The case was formally reported to the police on August 22, 2026, at approximately 23:00 hrs.
The command’s spokesman, SP Nafiu Habib, said the victim was rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, where he was confirmed dead by a doctor on duty.
SP Habib explained that the murder suspect was swiftly arrested by ‘A’ Division Township police operatives following the incident in the Bayan Bata area and is currently facing a preliminary investigation for culpable homicide.
