Okpebholo addresses rot as AAU invites applications

 

 

The Management of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Edo State has hailed Governor Monday Okpebholo for repositioning and addressing rot which neglected by previous administration in the state-owned institution.

Otunba Mike Aladenika, Principal Assistant Registrar/Head, Information and Public Relations made the assertion during a thank you visit to journalists in Benin City, Edo State.

The University spokesman also called on the State government to sustain government funding for the University to firm-up development and deliver on the mandate of the founding fathers.

Aladenika stated that the institution is rising again due to favourable government policy, and efficient Management of the Chief Dan Orbih-led Governing Council appointed by the visitor to the University.

He revealed that the position of Principal officers declared vacant by the Governing Council and urge eligible applicants with the prerequisite qualifications to apply for the various positions earlier advertised.

He said if the previous administration had tackle infrastructural deficit in the University with the same vigour Governor Okpebholo intervened, most of the its challenges would have become history.

He further lamented that workers of the University are still on 18,000 Naira monthly minimum wage when their counterpart in the same Civil service earn 70,000 Naira, describing it as provocative.

He assured that with the inauguration of the University Governing Council, the school environment is peaceful as students and Lecturers are all carrying out teaching and learning activities in a friendly environment.
