Oba of Benin proclaims three Chieftaincy titles

Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, CFR, Oba of Benin, has issued a proclamation to three Chieftaincy titles in Benin Kingdom, Benin City, Edo State Capital.

Chief Ikponmwosa Omoregie Usiohen — renowned for his captivating panegyric (oration), was blessed with the Obasoyen of Benin title.

Also, Chief Orumwense Ogieva, was bestowed with Obarenogae of Benin title, while Chief Victor Otaniyen Aguebor was granted the Ukueben of Benin title.

The three worthy Benin sons with proselytizing zeal, were elevated by the Oba — the fount of all honours, in recognition of their faithful services in various capacities in the Kingdom and well beyond.

During Ekpomwanabo (appreciation) to the Oba) in Oba’s Palace, Chief Ikponmwosa Omoregie Usiohen, and others danced to the admiration of Oba Ewuare II who expects the Chiefs to demonstrate a sense of responsibility in their stewardship entrusted to them.

The Obasoyen of Benin who was joined by other Chiefs, members of his family, friends and well-wishers also thanked the Royal father’s act of philanthropy.

With the updated roster of Palace Chiefs cruising in the proverbial ‘Island of fantasy’, Oba Ewuare II, has again rewarded worthy service, with unmistakable conviction to staying on course and making decisive impacts.
