NIA chief Abubakar quits Tinubu’s government

Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, has resigned from his position as Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

Abubakar’s appointment by former President of Nigeria came to force in 2018 this weekend.

He submitted his letter of resignation to President Bola Tinubu at the Villa on Saturday.

President Tinubu is expected to either renew his appointment or announce of Nigeria’s foreign intelligence service soon.
