Members of the Nigeria Bar Association has elected Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN as the 33rd President of the association, marking a historic milestone for the legal profession.
She emerged after secured a total of 12,317 delegates votes, representing 47.18 per cent of the total votes cast in Saturday’s NBA national election.
Badejo-Okusanya, defeated her closest challengers, Lateef Akangbe, SAN, who garnered 7,934 votes, and Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, who polled 5,855 votes.
She has become the second female behind a former female President of the Priscilla Olabori Kuye, SAN, to hold the coveted position after 35 years in the association.
