Man stabbed to death during motorcycle dispute in Edo buried

A businessman identified only as Chiboy who was stabbed to death during a motorcycle dispute involving some migrant workers in Ogheghe Community, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State has been buried.

The funeral was held last week Friday in Benin amid tears and wailing by his friends, benefactors and family members, TheNewspad investigation revealed.

Chiboy lost his life battle during the retrieval of his motorcycle he gave to a rider on a long term payment plan. But the rider was said to have however became evasive after defaulting on a payment plan.

It is as gathered that during a confrontation, the rider raised false alarm that Chiboy wants to steal his motorcycle, leading to a brutal attacks and deaths.

The incident sparked a widespread outrage and retaliation that led to deaths of some individuals in the area.

A previous statement by the police revealed that 13 persons in connection with the alleged violent crime.

The Commissioner of Police in Edo State Command, CP Monday Agbonika had ordered a high-powered delegation of senior police officers to meet with Chiboy’s family in Edo State days after the unrest over the incident, which is being investigated by the law enforcement agency.

Chairman of Hausa Community in Edo State, Bademasi Saleh had criticized fifth columnists behind that he termed false narratives surrounding the unfortunate incident.
