A midnight inferno on Friday morning, razed four shops in Egor Local government Area of Edo State.

The incident occurred after the shop owners had closed their shops and left their business premises the previous day Thursday, April 27th, was caused by a mentally deranged woman.

The woman was said to have failed to out the fire, which she made in front of the residence located, 21, Adolor College Road after she finished preparing her dinner at the wee hours.

This caused the fire outbreak that began at about 1a.m and burnt the shops before the arrival of University of Benin (UNIBEN) fire Service arrived the scene.

TheNewspad reports that a barber shop, fridge technician and other victims who lost properties, learned about the inferno via phone calls.

About 12 fridges that were kept in custody of an artisan for repair, are among the stocks that were consumed in the inferno.
