Joint Health Sector Union, JOHESU has suspended its 84-day old strike, effective midnight of Friday, February 6, 2026.
The decision to suspend the industrial action was taken after an all-night meeting with government officials on Thursday night.
The meeting was conveyed by Minister of Labour and Employment, Mohammed Dingyadi at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The industrial action had paralyzed healthcare services across government Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria, leaving Managements of the Healthcare systems to engage private healthcare personnel to render skeletal services.
