How I overcame loneliness after my dismissal as APC chairman —Oshiomhole

Date:

Senator Adams Oshiomhole has revealed how he overcame loneliness

after his dismissal as national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC five years ago.

The two-term former Governor of Edo State made the remarks while speaking at the handover of 54 construction equipment to the 18 Local Government Areas in Edo State by Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Describing the period as one of isolation and abandonment, Oshiomhole admitted that the FCT Minister, Nysome Wike was initially amongst Nigerians who “celebrated” his political misfortunes, yet the later reached out to him.

“After I was dismissed as APC National Chairman. I became lonely, abandoned by my own party. People were afraid to visit me then because it could be termed anti-party.

“But I got a call from a rare Nigerian, Wike, who identifies with those who are lonely and he invited me to commission a project in Rivers State,” according to him.

He added, “After I was dismissed as APC National Chairman I became lonely abandoned by my own party. People were even afraid to visit me because it could be termed anti party

“If anybody was in doubt, he did the one that yesterday when his party came second after the APC. To take second after APC, no issue. Particularly where some people did not over 100,” Senator Oshiomhole said he owes Wike a debt of gratitude.
