Operatives of the Nigeria police have recovered two stolen cows at Bunza market in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The livestock belonging to were reportedly rustled and taken from the Local Government Area and brought to the market where the animals were meant to be sold to consumers.
The spokesman of the Nigeria police Command in the State, SP Bashir Usman said this in on Wednesday a statement, which confirmed the arrest of two suspects behind the crime.
The suspects: Abubakar Wakili and Usman Danbello were arrested on on 28th August 2026, following intelligence and community information in Bunza.
The suspects lids were blown up after residents alerted police to the movement of the animals, which have handed over to the rightful owner, who identified them as his stolen cows.
The police spokesman stated that investigation is ongoing to uncover more details and identify other persons connected with the crime.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar M. Hadejia, commended members of the public for their support and urged everyone to cooperate with police towards crime prevention.
