Group slams socialite over rebellious moves against Oba of Benin’ rep

Date:

A Civic advocacy group, Ologbo-Ehor youth Vanguard, has slammed a self-proclaimed activist and socialite, Curtis Ugbo over rebellious moves that seek to undermine the authority of Chief Emmanuel Iyase, the Okaro Eguae in charge of Ologbo and Ehor Dukedoms in Benin.

In a statement jointly endorsed by Comrade Peter Enodiana-Co-ordinator General and Comrade Reuben Egharevba-Secretary General of the group, called on Ugbo to stop belching foul air and spreading false narratives against Chief Iyase to get recognition and favour from him.

The group also accused the Ugbo of acting under the guise of activism to disparage Chief Iyase, by frolicking with suspended Dukes (Enigie) in the Dukedoms over alleged rebellion against the Benin monarchy to mislead the public.

This followed failed attempts by certain outlaws to divert some household items, including tractors donated by Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), restructured and renamed NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL) or NNPC E&P, to the people of Ologbo.

But the items that part of the Corporate social Responsibility of the multinational company,
were allegedly concealed under the custody of suspended Duke in the area for 15 months before they were released to Chief Iyase after much pressure, according to the group.

“Regrettably, while a lot of people are disassociating theirselves from suspended Enigie, Curtis Ugbo is still supporting and dinning with suspended Enogie of Ologbo who was caught red handed aiding Obaseki sacrilegious acts/plots, which he deliberately orchestrated and committed against our highly revered Benin Royal Palace.

“Arising from the analysis above, it is becoming obvious that Curtis Ugbo is a blackmailer, hypocrite, unstable and unserious human being. Therefore, Curtis Ugbo should not be taken seriously”, according to the group.
