Gov Ododo releases Yahaya Bello to EFCC

Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State has released his Predecessor, Yahaya Bello to operatives of the

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) where he was taken into custody on Tuesday morning.

Accompanied by a team of lawyers, Bello drive himself to EFCC office in Abuja, following a recent
Supreme court judgement that dismissed States’ EFCC Constitutionality.

The embattled former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello who was recently declared wanted by the Commission turn down his invitation, citing the presence of over 100 cameras and journalists that laid sieged to EFCC headquarters in Abuja.

Olukoyede had said the fugitive made the comments in a personal phone conversation inviting the former Governor to present himself for interrogation regarding his alleged involvement in money laundering to the tune of N80,246,470,089.88 (Eighty Billion, Two Hundred and Forty Six Million, Four Hundred and Seventy Thousand and Eighty Nine Naira, Eighty Eight Kobo).

TheNewspad reports that Bello, who prides himself as ‘the white lion’, is expected to make statement with the anti-graft agency, ahead of his date in court.
