The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru has suspended 91 government officials for one month over alleged failure to attend an important government function in the State.
The suspension of appointees comprise 25 Commissioners, 14 senior special assistants, 24 special assistants, and 22 Permanent Secretaries, is with immediate effect.
Monday Uzor, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor disclosed this on Monday night in a Press statement, seen by Newspad Newspaper.
The Governor also directed the Commissioners should hand over to their respective permanent Secretaries and accordingly instructed the affected officers should not sign any official document within the period of their suspension.
