Frustration as students board tanker to school

Netizens are expressing worries over the difficult encounter of federal University Dutsin-ma, Katsina State students photographed travelling atop a fuel tanker to receive lectures at the permanent site.

The distance between Dutsin-ma Town to school’s permanent is about 24 kilometers from the outskirt of the town, according to Kizzy Ozondu, who shared the story and photographs on Facebook, Sunday.

The hard choices by helpless students of the institution has been blamed on the failure by the school’s management to provide shuttle vehicles to ease staff and students movement on Campus.

Ozondu said, “This is federal University Dutsin-ma katsina State Students, yesterday (Saturday) going to permanent site to receive lectures on top of fuel tanker because no school bus and from Dutsin-ma town to permanent site is 24 kilometer outskirt of the town. If u have been here before u will understand what am saying”, he alleged.

Commenting on Facebook, Hawk Hawk said, “Yet the north have been in government all the while and all the government officials a millionaires”.

But, Arthur Iheke, argues that, “Is not my concern and business, the people at the helm of affairs should do the necessary simple”.

While another social media user, Shittu Abdulgalfar wondered why students risk their lives to go to school.

“This is totally mentality student to risk there life This can only happen in d North West”, according to him.

Similarly, Oyekola Olagunju queried that:
“Northerners with reckless Life, how will you embark on suicide mission like this only to attend lecture, not examinations”.
