Adejobi, was first appointed in acting capacity on 16th February 2022 as a CSP and took over from then CP Frank Mba.

The police former spokesman who hails from Ekiti State, was later confirmed by then IGP Usman Alkali in August 2022.

Prior to his deployment, Adejobi signed official statement of parade of suspected criminals last Wednesday in Abuja.

Reacting to news if his deployment, human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore wrote: “I sincerely hope that in Delta State there are enough palaces available where this jester, Muyiwa Adejobi can fully display his “palace jester” talents.

“Perhaps then, he can at least find an audience willing to applaud his empty performances, since policing clearly demands a seriousness he has never possessed. Jokers!”, according to the social critic.
