FG plans Cattle breeding centre across all regions

The Nigerian government has disclosed initiative to establish Cattle breeding centres under the newly established Ministry of Livestock Development

across each geopolitical zones of the Country.

The intervention is aimed at enhancing productivity and sustainability, according to the Minister of State for Agriculture, Dr Aliyu Abdullahi.

He spoke through Suleiman Haruna
Director, Public Relations Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation in a statement on Wednesday July 31st.

Haruna stated that the Minister revealed this during the second day of the interactive session organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Foundation.

According to him, “the newly established Ministry of Livestock Development plans to set up a breeding centre in each of the six geopolitical zones to enhance productivity and sustainability.
The interactive session continues”.

The Minister further noted that the leadership of the present administration is intentional about investing in Nigeria’s Livestock sector.

“The synergy and collaboration of the Ministries of Agriculture, Environment, Water Resources, Livestock Development, and the Marine and Blue Economy are imperative for delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda”.
