The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye has reportedly lost his life battle at a tertiary health facility.
He passed in on Monday at 64, barely one year after a section of the State High court session collapsed on him while in office.
Neither the State government nor the family of the late Jurist has issued any official statement regarding the tragic incident.
But the Association of International Female Lawyers (FIDA), Ekiti State Chapter, confirmed the incident.
The group also extended its condolence to the Bar and the Bench in a statement published on social Media, Tuesday.
“May He find rest with his maker. “I pray that God grants the family, the Judiciary and the people of Ekiti State, the grace to bear this irreparable loss. Adieu great one”, FIDA said.
The Jurist was called to the Bar in 1986 and began his career as a State Counsel in the Civil service of the old Ondo State before joining the Ekiti State Judiciary Service Commission shortly after the creation of the State in 1996.
