The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) swiftly mobilized emergency services on Thursday following a devastating fuel tanker explosion along the Benin-Lagos highway near Oluku in Ovia North East Local Government area of Edo State.
Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, the Chief Medical Director of UBTH, took charge at the scene, personally leading the response team across the accident, emergency, and burns units to stabilize severe casualties and minimize fatalities.
