The Nigeria police Command in Bauchi State has arrested Abdulrazak Sale, also known as “Abba Sale Police,” the principal suspect in a double murder case that had placed him on the state’s police watchlist.
The 24-year-old suspect was apprehended on October 5, 2026, exactly three months after he and his accomplices fatally stabbed 46-year-old Rilwanu Dauda with a knife in Karofin Madaki on July 5, 2026.
The victim had been rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) in Bauchi, where he was pronounced dead.
Following the attack, the fleeing suspects — who were previously linked to a politically motivated murder in the same area— were placed on a strict police watchlist.
Acting on a tip-off from a Good Samaritan, operatives from the ‘A’ Division Township successfully tracked down and arrested Sale.
The State Police Command is currently intensifying efforts to apprehend his remaining accomplices who are still at large.
The State Police Commissioner CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu praised the officers’ professionalism and warned that the state is unsafe for criminals; Just as he ordered a full investigation to prepare the suspect for court.
