Debate: APC Campaign Council throws shades at Okpebholo’s critics

The Director General, All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council in the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, has threw shades at critics of the Candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo arising from alleged delay by the lawmaker to honour invitation for debates on Television stations.

Urhoghide fired the savo at Senator Okpebholo and members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) critic family meeting held in Edo South APC fam last Sunday, ahead of party’s flag-off on Tuesday in Edo South Senatorial District.

Senator Urhoghide said, “God governance is about compassion. We want to sound this as a note of warning to meddlesome Interlopers coming up in different shades, inviting our Candidates to unnecessary talks or debates”.

“Nobody is going to set agenda for us”, according to Senator Urhoghide, “we are going to set agenda for ourselves”

He asked “who sets a debate that can determine who a leader will be? By their own estimation, they believe they can organize all those caricature meetings and our Candidate or APC will not have the sense whether to allow or not”.

The APC campaign Director General urged member of the party and its supporters not to worry about antics of opposition and remain focus.

He also said, “we are ready for them (critics), and we are going to have debates, we will surprise them”, insisting that APC knows what its strength lies and will work hard to win the forthcoming poll.
