There is was pandemonium when three worshippers reportedly lost their lives in Sunday August 17, 2025 road crash involving Dangote truck on Auchi-Okenne road, Estako East Local Government Area of Edo State, the Founder Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleiman said in a statement where he asked Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote to take responsibility for the fatalities.
The victims whose identities have not been revealed, were said to be returning home after Sunday worship when a truck whose particulars are yet-to-be ascertained rammed into their vehicle, opposite the international headquarters of Omega Fire Ministry in Auchi.
The fatal accident, occurred barely 48 hours after Group Plc assured comprehensive support and compensation for Mrs. Ruth Otabor’s leg amputation, leading to her hospitalization at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Esan Central Local Government Area.
The victim who is the sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma “Phyna” recent road accident involving one of the company’s trucks in Auchi, Estako West Local Government Area of the State.
Responding to Sunda’s incident, Apostle Suleiman alleged that the company’s reckless handling of its logistics operations had led to the death of three persons in the town.
The Cleric attributed the accident to untrained and drug-influenced young drivers were often put behind the wheel of Dangote trucks, endangering lives on Nigerian roads.
He wrote, “Dangote Industries, you are not the only rich man on earth. Your recklessness in managing your business has caused harm to families and made many parents childless. Your truck just killed three persons a few minutes ago in Auchi.
“This won’t go unchallenged,” the cleric warned, calling for accountability from the conglomerate”, he said.
Investigation revealed that the ill-fated vehicle has been impounded by security personnel who assisted in taking some accident victims to a nearby hospital, while angry residents wailed uncontrollably in a now trending viral footage in the internet.
Authorities of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) nor the Management of the Dangote Plc, are yet to respond to the inquiry by TheNewspad Newspaper at the time of filing this report.
