The recent outbreak of cholera disease has reportedly killed three persons, including a Pastor in Bokkos Local Area of Plateau State, raising serious concern amongst residents.
Joseph Dashe, Director of Primary Healthcare, Bakkos LGA, who dropped this at the sidelines of the ongoing Cholera vaccination exercises in the locality, did not reveal the identity of the victim.
He noted that the State government in collaboration with UNICEF, has intensified efforts towards combating the menace and containing its spread of Cholera, especially amongst children and vulnerable people in addition to spraying of public places during my the exercise.
On his part, Abubakar Shafa, Vaccines security and Logistics, UNICEF, stated that the vaccine is supposed to last for two more areas to visit.
