Benue appoints new SSG as Alakali dumps Alia

Hyacinth Alia, Governor has approved the appointment of Prof. Aber Serumun Deborah as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) as replacement for Joseph Alakali who recently resigned from his position yesterday.

Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Tuesday in a statement, said Alakali she need time to address personal challenges.

The Governor expressed gratitude to Alakali for serving the State under his administration for a year and three months.

Accordingly, the Governor wishes him well and prays that the Almighty grants the former SSG the strength to tackle the many challenges he has chosen to address.

The new SSG, Barr. Aber, a graduate of the University of Jos and Nasarawa State University, is a seasoned solicitor and arbitrator with a strong sense of initiative and excellent analytical skills.

The statement also said she is a team player with good interpersonal skills
that aspires hard work in a reputable and challenging environment that encourages professionalism.

The Governor also charged her to remain focused and align her work with the vision of the administration as outlined in the working document.
