ASUU suspends warning strike, gives FG lifeline

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has directed its to resume their duties, following the the two-week warning strike that shut down academic activities in public Universities across the federation.

President of ASUU, Chris Piwuna, announced this on Wednesday morning in response to the intervention of the Senate and some other well-meaning Nigerians to broker the lingering wage dispute between ASUU and the federal government.

Piwuna explained that the one month suspension of the strike would pave the way for the government to address ASUU their concerns, including welfare and poor funding of Universities.
