The All Progressives Congress (APC) is awaiting the outcome of a police investigation following the burning of its branded campaign vehicle by hoodlums on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Katsina State.
Multiple reports indicate the attack occurred during a campaign tour by the State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Radda was visiting the community to showcase his administration’s achievements over the past three years and solicit public support for his 2027 re-election bid.
The incident disrupted campaign activities and raised fresh concerns regarding the safety of political gatherings and campaigns across the state.
This attack comes barely three days after a similar incident was recorded in the Malumfashi Local Government Area, where another APC campaign property was targeted.
The consecutive attacks have heightened fears of rising political tension in Katsina State as activities momentum builds ahead of the 2027 polls.
The State leadership of the APC has finalized plans to engage police authorities regarding the matter, which remains under active investigation.
