Anambra ‘native doctor’ held for alleged ritual murder of three children

Date:

Three underaged children— aged between 6 and 15 have reportedly lost their life battles in Anambra State police, the police Command spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga said on Wednesday.

He alleged in a statement that the lifeless bodies of the children were discovered inside the home of a local native doctor, identified only as Ezenwanyi in Ideani community of the State.

The fourth child was rescued alive just in time, thanks to the swift intervention of community leaders and the local police, and is currently fighting for recovery in the hospital.

Accordingly, the police have taken the female native doctor into custody and launched an investigation, a grieving community is left asking a devastating question: How did this happen in our neighbourhood?

Law enforcement has urged the public to stay calm and avoid spreading unverified rumors while the investigation unfolds.

But this tragedy demands more than patience—it demands accountability, vigilance, and an uncompromising collective stand to protect our most vulnerable children from exploitation and violence.
