Abia CP tour of stations boost personnel’ morale

The Commissioner of Police in Abia State, CP Danladi Isa has began a working tour across some Police formations towards building a positive attitude and its objectives amid security concerns in South East.

Spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Command in the State, ASP Maureen C. Chinaka, listed the areas visited by the Police boss to include, Isuikwuato Area Command and its respective Divisions.

In a statement, ASP Chinaka listed other areas visited by CP Danladi as Anti-Cultism Unit, Area Command Umuahia, Central Police Station (CPS) Umuahia, and 28 PMF.

During the visit, CP Danladi, conducted a security assessment of the environment and made several observations, according to the statement.

Addressing police officers and men, the Commissioner of Police, reminded public servants of their duties and charged them to live up their expectations by upholding the good image of the Force.

He instructed Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to ensure police presence is felt in all their areas of responsibility, urging them to continue partnering with the Community in order to effectively police their jurisdiction.

The Police boss also warned against extortion, corruption, and incivility towards members of the public, stressing that officers must treat the public with utmost respect and ensure their security needs are met.

The CP who sued for continued collaboration in fighting crime across the State and appreciated Stakeholders, including traditional rulers and Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) representatives of improvement of security with effective collaboration in the area.

Stakeholders at the meeting, expressed their appreciation and commended the Nigeria Police Command’s efforts in curbing crime and criminality.

They also pledged their continued support to the police until the desired level of security is achieved in the State.
