A star emerges in Oredo politics: Enter Osarobo Osaghae, the breath of fresh air

Oredo Local Government Council has seen leaders of different likes. They came with all sorts of promises, hopes and programmes. It’s all package so delectable that you get the impression that “Here comes the Messiah”.

But as the next round of election comes around, Oredo is in for a great surprise. Enter Osarobo Osaghae who has an a.k.a — O2!!

He is not nicknamed O2 for nothing. His antecedent proceeds him. Osaghae is not an unknown quality. He is the surprise Oredo has been waiting for.

This All Progressives Congress Chairmanship aspirant demotes what leadership ought to be — visionary, courageous, bold and revolutionary.

He styles himself as O2 or oxygen that will revolutionize governance, in style and action in the Premier Metropolitan Local Government in Edo State.

Osaghae is without mincing words spewing what oxygen spells out — for him ‘O’ spells as creating avenue for economic growth, Education and skill development.

‘X is the secret of who he is, as he has the ‘X’ factor, which is about bringing innovative ideas and fresh perspectives such as never seen before in Oredo Local Government Council.

‘Y’ is his determination to redirect our Oredo youths through programmes of empowerment and mentorship of our young men and women.

Osaghae has also observed that most of our youths derail and feel hopeless because of lack of capacity and empowerment. Worst still, there is a missing gap. The young ones, if we must see them productive and reach their full potentials, we must mentor and nurture them to realize themselves.

‘G’ for Osaghae, good governance cannot be compromised. It’s the lack of this that has caused cynicism and a diminished enthusiasm by the electorate. In addition, he is promising transparency, accountability and inclusive decision-making in his approch to governance.

‘E’, he sees himself laying down the resources of the Council towards empowering every segment of the Oredo society. The men, the women, youths, and marginalized groups.

‘N’, is the quality that Osarobo Osaghae possesses as a person — He is a people’s man. So, he will seek total inclusivity, breathing new life into the Council, promoting a sense of belonging, promoting social cohesion and inclusiveness.

Like Oxygen in nature, Osaghae will reform Oredo Local Government Council to new heights. With such enthusiasm and vision, Governor Monday Okpebholo will see a match and a fitting companion to drive the development of Edo State, and to enable this tier of Government to play its full compliment that would make Edo State to SHINE more brightly.

No doubt, when we are looking for a new breed of men, to redeem our politics, and restore the glory of the nation, here is one already offering himself to serve, in the way Nigeria expects.
