A 20-year-old physically challenged, four-month pregnant woman who was allegedly raped in her apartment on Ajegunle Street in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area, is crying out for justice and help.
The harrowing ordeal, according to investigation, came to light when the survivor reported the incident to a community elder on September 9, 2026.
Following the report, Princess Folashade Arise, the Board Chairman of the Agency, promptly alerted the police authorities on Friday, September 18.
Acting swiftly on the directive, the Area Commander of the Nigeria Police Force in Ore, ACP Femi Iwasoku, mobilized a team of officers who apprehended the suspect—a 40-year-old married man identified simply as Tomiwa—and placed him in police custody.
Police sources have confirmed that the suspect will be charged to court as soon as the ongoing investigation is concluded.
Meanwhile, the shocking incident has sparked widespread outrage online, with many citizens demanding stiffer punishments for sex offenders and stronger protection for vulnerable individuals in society.
