Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has sacked the Commissioner for Works, Stanley Lebechi Mbam, from office effective immediately.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Saturday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor.
Mbam was directed to hand over government property and transfer his official duties to the Permanent Secretary.
“The Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon . Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, FCAI GGCEHF has directed the immediate removal from office the Honourable Commissioner for Works Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam,” according to the State Governor.
No official reason was stated for the dismissal, the administration reaffirmed its dedication to public infrastructure.
Mbam had previously faced an indefinite suspension for alleged dereliction of duty in March before being recalled in May.
