The Nigerian Army troops attached to the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, OPHK, have foiled a terrorist infiltration attempt and disrupted terrorist logistics and support networks, further degrading the operational capabilities of insurgent groups in the Theatre, North eastern part of Nigeria.

Acting Media Information Officer said on Friday in a statement.
The feat, which was recorded significant operational milestones in its ongoing counterterrorism and counterinsurgency campaign across the region, Haruna said, troops in Borno State also responded swiftly to the sighting of terrorists advancing toward the North East Theatre Training School, Buni Yadi, at about 9:00 a.m. on 9 June 2026.
He revealed that the troops neutralized the threat and denied the terrorists freedom of action through a coordinated and precise fire missions.
Consequently, the statement noted further that exploitation of the area led to the recovery of two terrorist corpses and one motorcycle, confirming the effectiveness of the operation and the failure of the attempted infiltration.
In a series of intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling terrorist support structures, troops of 25 Brigade Garrison, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), apprehended two suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP logistics suppliers, Mallam Bako Ibrahim and Abu Aji, along the Sierra 4 axis in Damboa.
Similarly, troops of 162 Amphibious Battalion, working closely with the CJTF along the Mandaragirau–Sabon Gari road, arrested another suspected logistics supplier, Musa Idi.
The statement said preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were involved in providing logistics support to terrorists operating within Damboa Local Government Area.
19 wristwatches, one large mat, one transistor radio, two cartons of agro-allied chemicals, and other materials intended for terrorist used were among the tems recovered from the suspects during the raid.
Accordingly, the suspects and recovered items are currently in custody for further investigation and necessary action.
In a related development, combined troops of Sector 2 , in collaboration with the CJTF, arrested a 23-year-old suspect, Adams Shittima, in Damboa town at about 5:58 a.m. on 9 June 2026.
The statement said the suspect was intercepted while attempting to procure farm implements and mosquito nets for terrorist elements.
During preliminary interrogation, he confessed to providing both logistics support and information to terrorists operating within Damboa Local Government Area, further exposing the network of collaborators sustaining insurgent activities in the area.
Meanwhile, sustained military offensives and relentless pressure on terrorist enclaves continue to weaken insurgent networks and compel their members to abandon criminal activities.
The military High Command commended the troops for their professionalism, vigilance, resilience, and unwavering commitment in the ongoing fight against terrorism and criminality.
