The official portrait of former Sole Administrator in River State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), has been removed from the State Government House in Port Harcourt.
The portrait gone missing shortly after the reinstated governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara resumed his official duty on Friday
Recall that President Bola Tinubu recently restored democratic governance in the State after six month Ibas was appointed as the Sole Administrator of Rivers.
Five months after the national leadership of Ijaw National Congress and President of the Pan Niger Delta Elders Forum (PANDEF), Prof. Godknows Igali, questioned Ibas over the removal of Fubara’s portraits from the Port Harcourt International Airport and other government offices.

The reinstated Governor of the State, however failed to acknowledge the immediate Sole Administrator of the State during his statewide Broadcast on Friday September 19.
But Fubara, personally acknowledged the benevolence of President Bola Tinubu for intervening in the crises between him and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike who is the Minister of the FCT whom he described as “Our Leader” for his commitment to the prompt resolution of the political dispute in River State.
He also commended the National Assembly and the State House of Assembly, vowing not to take the President’s kindness for granted.
Governor Fubara along with his his deputy, Ngozi Odu were given a rousing welcome on Friday in Rivers State Government House by residents of the State, where he reassured the people that he will continue to do what endeared him to them.
