A scavenger who deals in scrap iron has been arrested with a pump action gun in Auchi, Estako Local Government Area of Edo State, raising serious security concerns.
The yet-to-be named criminal suspect, according to a footage shared by a Facebook user, Lucky Igbinedion on Wednesday June 2nd 2025, was nabbed by local security agents.
The migrant worker, whose hands were tied together with the arm by vigilantes and flogged, was later handed over to men of the Nigeria Police Command in Auchi for further investigation.
The incident, which has kept netizens talking on the social media space, following the inability of the suspect, mutter and failed to provide information on the whereabouts of the arm during interrogation by vigilantes in the area.
Spokesman for the Nigeria Police Command in Edo State, CSP Moses Yamu, is yet-to comment on the level of police investigation.
