Promoted Abia police spokesperson, 62 officers decorated

63 newly promoted senior police officers attached to the Nigeria police Command in Abia State, including the spokesperson for the Command, CSP Maureen Chinaka have been decorated with their new ranks.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Danladi Isa presided over the ceremony held on Tuesday at the Command’s Officers’ Mess, Umuahia in Abia.

Among the 63 newly decorated officers, 16 of them were promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) rank.

Accordingly, 11 officers were promoted from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in addition to 36 officers, promoted from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

Addressing police officers, CP Isa, charged them to continue serving with dedication, and representing the image of the Nigeria Police Force honorably, citing the adage, “to whom much is given, much is required”.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accountability in their responsibilities.

The police boss further cautioned against incivility towards the public and stressed the need to shun corruption in all forms.

The officers, expressed their gratitude for their commitment and pledged to remain professional, Civil, and diligent in their duties.
