Sex worker stabs bartender to death over N200 debt

A sex worker, Riyanatu Musa has been taken into police custody in connection with the alleged murder of bartender in Adamawa State, North Eastern region of Nigeria.

The murder suspect attacked the victim with a knife during a fight to payoff his outstanding N200 debt after a business transaction from a liquor bought in Mubi, area of the State.

The Nigeria Police Command in Adamawa State, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident in a statement.

The 32-year-old suspect confessed to the crime during police interrogation and told the police that she had collected dry gin from the victim and paid the sum of N1,500, promising remaining the balance of N200.

Yahaya assured that the alleged culprit will have her date in court when investigation into the incident is concluded.
