A Benin resident who was recently slapped by a man seen as mentally deranged was among the three persons that were shot dead at the weekend in Benin City.
Investigation revealed that the victim (name withheld) was attacked near Oredo Local Government Council’s office few days before was reportedly killed.
The ongoing cult related war, reportedly claimed the life of a middle-aged man simply identified as
DJ baby at the weekend.
The incident happened around AP petrol station, opposite Youth Council Area on Akpakpava Road in Oredo Local Government Area according to security sources.
Suspected assailants unleashed terror around
Isihor area in Ovia North East Local Government Area at the weekend, killing a furniture maker.
The victim known as ‘Ebo’, was said to have been attacked and brought down in old road, Isihor area by suspected assailants who dragged him out of his furniture workshop before unleashing terror.
Terrified residents fled the scene when some unmasked armed stormed his furniture workshop on the fateful day and ambushed him.
The tragically wounded man’s body was abandoned for hours before his body was taken to a morgue.
Expended Cartridges littered the floor in the area where residents were directed indoors for several hours.
Police authorities in the State have made some arrest and arrested some suspected cultists since hostilities resumed since the past weeks.
