Lagos Guard killed in brutal dogs attack

Police authorities have launched an inquiry into a brutal dogs attack that led to the death of yet-to-be named security Guard in Pinnock Estate around highbrow Lekki area of Lagos State.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a social media user with the handle @itzbasito, the guard was seen lying dead with the Boerboel dogs seen approaching his lifeless body.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesman for the Nigeria Police Command in Lagos State confirmed the incident and arrest of the dogs owner in a post on his verified X handle.

“The dog owner has been arrested and is in our custody”, according to Hundeyin who revealed that the owner the dogs would be arraigned with Involuntary Manslaughter soon.

Leadership Newspaper source stated that the owner of the dogs unknowingly let them loose which resulted in the attack that claimed the life of the estate guard on Monday, November 4,2024.

“A person who unlawfully kills another in circumstances which does not constitute murder is guilty of manslaughter if he causes death”, another social Media user said.
