Igbo to build spare parts market in Kaduna — govt

The quest by Igbo people living in Kaduna State to build a an ultra modern Auto Mobile Spare Parts market in the State have received boost.

This followed Governor Uba Sani’s approval for the allocation of a large expanse of land for the building of a Spare Parts Market in Kaduna.

He made the pledge on Saturday when Igbo Community, Kaduna State today honoured him with a Chieftaincy title “Ezi Enyi Ndigbo” (True Friend of the Igbos).

The Governor said, “the allocation papers are being perfected by the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) in the State.

The Governor said, “I have had long standing relationship with Ndigbo. Igbos are a unique people: industrious, hardworking, resilient, resourceful and accommodating”.

He hailed the immeasurable contributions of Igbos to the growth and development of the dear State and urged them to continue on the path.

Sani also revealed that despite challenges, their faith in the huge potentials and possibilities of Kaduna State remain unshaken.

“I will personally perform the groundbreaking for the construction of the Spare Parts Market. This announcement was greeted with rapturous applause”, he assured.

Commenting on his recognition and honour in a Facebook post late Saturday, Governor Sani said, “The conferment was in recognition of my administration’s efforts in rebuilding trust, strengthening security, forging unity and creating conducive atmosphere for businesses to thrive”.

He said, “I urged Igbos to continue to invest in critical sectors in Kaduna State. Our economic agenda is designed to sustain Kaduna State’s enviable status as a premier investment destination in Nigeria.

“We aim to attract investments across diverse sectors, create jobs, and facilitate technology and skills transfer, making our labor force more skilled and employable.

“We are willing and ready to partner with Igbo industrialists and entrepreneurs. We offer very attractive incentives. We are one of the leading states in Ease of Doing Business”, the Governor assured.

He further said, “The conferment was performed by the Ezeigbo Kaduna, His Royal Highness Igwe Engr. Sylvanus Aneke.

The 2024 Igbo Cultural Day Celebration, which took place at Nigerian Correctional Service Staff College, Barnawa attracted eminent personalities and a large crowd of cultural enthusiasts”, he said.
