Criticisms have trailed the arrest of human right activist, Omoyele Sowore by men suspected to be operatives of Department of State Security Service shortly after his arrival at the

at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

The convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, according to Sahara Reporters may not be unconnected with the August 1st-10th #EndBadGovernance nationwide protest against over some harsh economic policies of President Bola Tinubu led federal government.

His flight left the Washington Dulles International Airport at 6.14 EDT and arrived in Lagos at around 9.43 WAT.

In a post on his X account on Thursday, Sowore said, “The current administration, led by Tinubu, has demonstrated an upgraded inability to effectively track and apprehend terrorism suspects, bandits, and kidnappers, while the @officialEFCC has yet to arrest former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.

Netizens have taken to social Media space, bearing the government for failing to channel the same zeal its using to crackdown on voices of dissent to improve the side-rocking ailing Nigeria economy.

But, the Department of State Security Service has yet to confirm if Sowore is in its custody as at the time of filing this report.
