Nigeria police have promised to conduct autopsy on a Superintendent of Police, ASP. Idris Lawal who was mauled to death by a hit-and-run driver at security checkpoint on Iworoko road in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State Capital.
Citing an internal Memo by police Command, SaharaReporters said the incident happened on Monday night when the Cop was in the line of duty.
The accident victim whose body had been deposited at Eksuth morgue for autopsy, lost the battle for his life at Ekiti State Teaching Hospital Ado-Ekiti where he was taken to for medical attention.
TheNewspad reports that the Nigeria Police Command in Ekiti State has sent a delegation to console the family of the gallant police officer whose killer is being hunted by operatives.
The decision by the police to conduct autopsy is generating reactions by Nigerians on social media space.
