47 suspected internet fraudsters in Edo State with a Pump Action rifle in its latest crackdown on suspected criminals in Benin City, Edo State.
The suspects were nabbed by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday, August 15, 2025.
In a statement, the anti-graft Commission said the suspects arrest followed credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.
Live cartridges and six vehicles, mobile phones and laptop computers, were recovered from the suspects in the operation, according to the EFCC which promised to charge them to court when investigations are concluded.
