A pregnant female recruit of Nigeria police showing off her bump, has sparked online buzz amongst netizens on social media.
The yet-to-be identified recruit, clad in a white shirt atop white short with a black bag clutched to her left hand alongside a blue colour file to her right hand in police facility suspected to be in Taraba State.
The pregnant recruit has become a subject of controversy, following growing concerns over possible disqualification in line with police regulations that do not allow for pregnancy.
Some netizens are also raising concerns over difficulties in sailing through the rigorous exercise associated with police screening due to mental health and medical condition.
A Facebook user, Yahaya Jamilu wrote: “It can be possible before training; she can deliver before her screening date”, but, Amaka Mgbatogu argues that it is “impossible” for a pregnant woman to survive police screening.
Peter Lydia, tows the path of prayer for the recruit, while another user, Itz Rimamshong said, “lie, yesterday was my screening date”.
But Julius Emmanuel queried, “how can a pregnant woman join police Force. It’s impossible”.
