Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has declared that he is not scared of being impeached by the Martin Amaewhule-led faction of the Rivers house of Assembly, which issued him to submit the 2025 appropriation bill within the next 48 hours.
He spoke during the commissioning of Government House Staff Quarters at the Forces Avenue, Opposite Government House in Port Harcourt.
The Governor assured his supporters that victory is inevitable, despite the political challenges in the State.
Quoting from the Bible, Philippians 3:18-19, emphasizing faith and resilience in the face of challenges, Fubara said, “I am not afraid of anything. The worst that can happen is for me to leave office”.
He said, “I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
“Despite everything, victory is sure”, he stated that the struggle is not just about winning but about standing for truth and fighting gallantly.
