The federal government has ordered the temporary shutting down of 47 Unity Colleges across the North-West, North-East, North-Central and parts of the South, citing security concerns.
The notification is contained in Friday in a circular cited “recent security challenges in some parts of the Country and the need to prevent any security breaches”.

Binta Abdulkadir, Director of Senior Secondary Education, signed the circular on behalf of Minister,
Tunji Alausa.
TheNewspad reports that development comes after the attacks on schools in Kebbi and Niger States.
At least staffers were abducted in both incidents while at least one official was shot dead in the attacks.
